Hopefully you will already be aware of the forthcoming closure of Tisbury Road in Fovant, the order for which is linked to in the email below.
The contractors (4 Site Fibre Ltd acting on behalf of Wessex Internet) have advised us that they will be endeavouring to allow access to the school buses serving Shaftesbury and Dinton Schools, but that they will not be able to allow access to the ordinary bus service during the day
During this period, the bus stops in Fovant for Salisbury Reds bus service 26 will therefore be as follows:
- Sutton Road, Clays Orchard bus shelter;
- A temporary bus stop on the A30 next to (and opposite) “The Greater Good” pub car park.
However at the moment it is not clear how well known the road closure is amongst Fovant residents, so any help you can give us in getting information about these temporary arrangements on to the Fovant village website, along with any appropriate social media site, would be very much appreciated. Please note that if these works finish early, it may take a while for that information to get through to the bus company, so we would advise bus users to continue to only use the bus stops above until 16th January.
